Advice for an old duffer!

Hello all. I used to be an avid player of GTA San Andreas and Vice City, and other similar games, when I had a PS2 in the 00's. Family life and work meant I stopped.

Daughter is grown, and I cannot work for health reasons, and really fancy getting back in to it for a hobby during long days!

Been looking on Vinted and am really confused, as Xbox one, 360, and PS 3 and 4 all seem similar prices. After a bit of research, I am keen to play Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, and Arkham series of games.

I do not care about multiplay online. Could people recommend which console would suit my needs best?

PS4 would be the best choice of those, but be aware that it isn't compatible with PS3 games so you will need to make sure the games you want to play were re-released on PS4. A better alternative, if you could stretch to it would be a PS5 as you would have even more of a library of games to play
 
For the money you wont get better than a PS4 pro. You can buy them for about £120 on fb marketplace bit more with warranty at CEX.

I would add the Resident Evil Remakes. Village and 4 Remake, the God of War games and Evil Within games to your list. Phenomenal games that can be had for a pittance now (Less than a tenner each in places) and will keep you going for a significant amount of time. :)

I still have an enormous collection of PS4 games that i rarely play as i have PS5 Pro however its not worth selling any as they give you very little back for them.
