it's actually crawling around inside my screen between the panel and the display so between the 2 layers, it's highly annoying looks like a little sand fly.

And no i don't want to take off and nuke it from orbit, or kill it with fire lol :D

I left the monitor in a pitch black room with a Maglite pointed at the back of it for a night. By morning the bug had found the light so to speak.

Ah good thinking, i'll give it a try if he decides to come out again, at present he dissapeared into the bezel somewhere. hopefully he touched something and gets zapped without taking out my monitor lol

I had this problem in the past. Simply turning the monitor off for a few hours allowed the beast to wander off someplace. Maybe he's in the back. Anyway before you start prodding and trying to push leave it be for a bit with no display.

Use this as screensaver

problem soved :o

Thunderbugs, they are a problem every year. Just got to hope they don't die behind the glass. Turn the screen off and leave it off for a few hours.

Just a update, it's gone now hopefully for good, turned the monitor off over night and left the desk lamp on. no sure if it's crawled out or died in the back . just glad it didn't die on the screen as that would have been a nightmare to sort out.

I had a little thing crawling behind my screen. It's now died and stayed there. No idea how to get it out. It's only small, but how annoying!

Yes. Be very gentle though. The screen should have a little flex.

Also worth checking if your screen has some kind of coating, the suction cup may damage it. I didn't check but there was no damage. It was an afterthought that I could have.
