My Mum has asked me for advice on a set of headphones for my Dad to use on his laptop watching YouTube and the like. She suggested wireless but I advised against it at this price. I have no experience at headphones this cheap.

He currently has some crappy £14.99 headphones so anything will be an upgrade.

So whats required is:

Closed back.
Wired.
Sound ok at the price point.
Comfortable (Was thinking over the ear).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I can't link them here but the Superlux HD668B Headphones are absolutely fantastic for the price point. I love them.

I bought new memory foam ear covers for them for comfort but not really sure about leaking sound, nobody ever complained in the house when I had them on.

Cant recommend anything more than the Koss PortaPros, there is a reason they have remained pretty much unchanged for 30 years - great sound for the money, very light, very comfy, and a few easy mods really transfrom them into something even better.

I still use my pair over the HD558s and Q701s I have on occasion and they are my go-to portable.
