Hi Clockers.

As the title suggests - I'm thinking of starting a food blog. Primarily just as a hobby in my spare time, but it would be great if this could make money in the future.

I'm not a pro, but I have a real passion for food and can spend hours watching TV shows and YouTube vids on the subject. This blog will be more of a platform to allow me to express my culinary interest and to give me an excuse to try out different ideas from around the world.

Have any of you guys got a successful blog? Do you do videos too? How do you find it? Is it difficult to create new content? Where do you get your inspiration from?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Gary

I'm just in the process of writing a "lifestyle blog" mostly for the fun of it. Enjoying learning how to use WordPress. I'm thinking the same things, at the moment I have no audience but I'm learning my trade by writing posts and asking the odd friend to review but I'll probably buy a blog writing guide because 3rd party experience is always good.

I'm currently trying to capture old projects as content and finding it moderately time consuming I think there is much to be said for having a process for capturing pictures, videos etc and getting the detail in as you go so you can spend some good thinking time on written content. If you find any good how to's please share I'm looking to learn also.

Good luck.

Ah good stuff. What's the link, I wouldn't mind taking a look. From what I can tell, you don't get an audience easy. It takes years of consistency and the audience builds over time (providing you have good content)

I've watched a few YouTube vids on the subject. But the videos I've watched is just general stuff really.

When you say, you're trying to capture old projects, what do you mean exactly?

yeah, If I find anything good, I'll DM you.

Good luck to you too ;-)
