Hi guys I bought this laptop last January for general purposes, but with the hope of some gaming.

The two games I am hoping to get this week are COD Modern Warfare 2 and IL-2 Sturmovik 'Cliffs of Dover'.

I'm not sure on the compatability of these games with my laptop and have been advised that I may be able to get away with 'not quite having the full specifications'.

My laptop is HP Envy M6 1178sa.
Rough Specs;
-Microprocessor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-3210M
-CPU speed is; 2.5 GHz Performance Rated at: 5.63 GHz
-Chipset Intel HM77 Express
-Microprocessor Cache 3 MB L3 cache
-Video Graphics AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated)
-Memory 8 GB DDR3 RAM
* I was told by someone that I might get away by not quite having the processor so I'd like to know if this is true?

Game 1: COD MW2 specs are;
-Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor or better supported
-256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600 XT or better

Game 2: IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover
- 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 or 2.6 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 recommended/ Athlon™ X2 3800+ (Intel Core i5 2.66GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 2.6GHz recommended)
- Video card: 1 GB DirectX 10 compliant video card (NVIDIA Geforce 8800 / 9000 / 250 / 460 series or better / ATI Radeon HD 4850 / 5000 / 6000 series or better).
-DirectX® 9.0c compliant, 512Mb Video Card (1GB DirectX® 10 recommended)

If anyone can advise on whether these games are compatible with my laptop that will be a huge help!.

Thanks a lot

Make sure you download the team fusion patches as they will add some fps as well as fix loads of broken stuff.

You will get slowdown when there are explosions, even with my PC my game freezes for a second or so when an airfield gets bombed or a load of Stukas go on a dive bomb run over the channel.

Overall you should be able to play it so long as you have turbo enabled.
