Hey so following on from my previous thread I'm hoping to make the leap from 60hz 4k to 144hz 2k and I have 2 particular monitors in mind. Any thoughts or advice is very very much appreciated.

The first is this:

And the second is the Viewsonic 32" XG3240C -which seems to have very good reviews?

Other options are available however these were the Viewsonic had the best reputation from a quick Google and the Asus is well, new, with good reviews also.

I will be playing FPS games mostly with a gtx1080

Thanks

Bought my son the non R older version of the Asus monitor for his Christmas, Very nice monitor with good build quality but it did have a stuck pixel. Freesync and 144Hz worked great with my Vega56 card when I "tested" it for him. No backlight bleed worth mentioning and the PS4PRO looked fantastic while paying Spiderman, very nice colours and contrast once tweaked. I don't think this R version is much different apart from accepting an HDR signal.

The only negative was the inevitable VA smearing of dark transitions (I've never seen a VA monitor without it), although you only noticed it in specific game situations e.g. night driving in Dirt Rally.

We got it for £399 just before Xmas last year. I would buy one again for that price if I wasn't set on IPS.
