Advice needed.....Budget Build, Ram help??

Who says hes buying from OCUK? and a Z9 is around £45, and it includes lots of fans as standard, fan controller and a temp probe for the front panel display.

Should be.

Yeah , i have been waiting 3 months for a cheque to come through. I had an acer laptop, 8600m died , along with the motherboard, had it 2 years!!!

Luckily it was insured , but trying to get the insurance company to pay out has been a nightmare, i havent dealt with such incompetance, EVER!!!! I have been put on hold god knows how many times, I even had to speak to someone who dealt with plumbing..Strangely enough , he was the most helpfull!!

The Cheque finally cleared today!!!! :D:D

One final question the build on the build that i have posted - I am an old gamer, I have always wanted the best, but have never been in the situation to afford the best.

If you loved gaming like i do, which i am sure you do, and you brought my build , would you be happy, if that was the best you can afford???

I know the question is subjective, but, parts are parts, i simply want to enjoy as much as possible the latest games due to be released!!!

Like i have said been out of the PC game for about 5 years now!!!

PEACE OUT HOMBRES!!!

At around the £100 region resolution is all that counts really. LED wouldnt hurt i suppose, less power usage and such but not a huge improvement. Well worth a bit more LG are doing a ips panel for around the £150 region which is incredible! LG IPS231P-BN

Ram ensure its 1.5v any higher and may cause instability in overclocks - sandybridges are recommended for 1.5v (4gb is all you need unless you intend video editing and the like)

Antec 100 or one of the silverstone ps range would make the best case. PS02, ps03...
All very good for cooling purposes.

asus p8p67 LE instead of this take a ganders at the msi GD53 ... cheaper and better technically, comes with dual 8*8 pci rails so you can sli your gfx card at a later date if you like.

What psu? dont cheap out if it goes your pc will probably follow so worth spending the extra on a more reliable one....plus for what you envisage so far 700w is more than you would need.....500w would be enough.....650w for a bit of future proofing?

THE psu Is a Xigamtek, NRP - PC702 - I read some great things about it!!

I dont intend to SLI, I am a student, which unfortunately is out of wrok at the minute, that should change though, in the next few months, So the build is the most cost effective i could find, with the most performance, With the idea , of upgrading components, every year to the more higher quality - reliable - brands!!

I thkink i would rather fork out on the flagship Nvidia/Ati , than go sli!! Is that strange!?? Not too sure!!

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-118-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1088 - very good but expensive

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-148-AN&tool=5 - also good and on offer :D

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-042-BQ&tool=3 - also good

Thing is with a psu its always worth spending a little bit more to ensure its good quality...never heard of the one you mention and with psu's u generally get what you paid for....cheap....may very well not last you....then again it may be fine...but psu's have a nasty habit of taking other components with them if they fail...

Very nice build otherwise...Sandy bridge..mmmmm :D and the 560 ti is a tasty little card.

Agreed rarely worth CF/SLI until you are talking about the top of the range cards...

Its absolute childs play, if you cant get 4GHZ out of it then you have been massively unlucky, 4.5GHZ seems to be the average speed that people get out of them without even trying.

Heres a OC guide using a similar ASUS board - http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2011/01/07/how-to-overclock-the-intel-core-i5-2500k/3

The rated voltages of the XMS3 is fine for Sandybridge.

I have just read some crap news that the P8P67 LE does not allow you to manualy set the Vcore.......Will this affect overclocking on this board????
