Hi,

I thought this forum would be a good one to ask some question regarding building a custom case. Atleast, I think it's a reliable place to ask :D

I'm having this idea of building a custom mini-ITX case.

Now my questions would be:
-where can I get the materials needed for a case (aluminium, motherboard tray, etc)
-are PSU which are made for the USA different? Can I use them in Europe?
-what bonds should I use to attach the panels?
-are there any sites - that I don't know - who can make these things for you if you have a drawing (in CAD or PDF)?

I think you get the point where I'm trying to go.

It's not that I'm lazy to search for these things, I just thought I might as well make a thread where you guys can leave your usefull tips.

Thank you!

Just aside if someone is interested;

I'd like to make something like this but smaller.
I tried to contact the original designer (subtec) of it, but I'm still awaiting his friend-request approval.
Eitherway he stated in his post on bit-tech that people can use his design for own purposes.

This is just an inspirational thing, it will not look exactly like it:

It would be smaller and the GPU would "lay down" just as the MOBO does. It will be connected with a PCIe-riser.

I'd like to use something simillar like this as PSU:

I did some calculations and the maximum height would be aprox. 75mm, length 420mm, depth 260mm (it can still change of course, to hold a bigger GPU for instance)
It would hold a mini-ITX motherboard, one or two harddrives (depends on your choice), and a <250mm GPU (like the ASUS GTX760)

That's my main idea, I'm still working on the details though.
