Hi juliand123. You have picked a very specific amount of money for the build so I will not recommend anything that pushes it to far over that figure. You have very limited options to get a decent PC within your budget that will run BF2042 well. The first , best and only sensible option is to instal the Telegram APP then join the fepartalert channel so you get stock updates when the Nvidia Founders edition cards come into stock. You will want to pick up a 3060ti for £369 because that is the best bang for buck card you can get by a country mile. They come into stock every 2-4 weeks or so and you have approx 5 mins to buy one of them. When you have gotten one of them (good luck with that because it is insanely hard) you can build something like the below PC to go with it.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £671.04 (includes shipping: £11.10)

As you can see, once you add the £369 for a 3060ti FE you are over your budget. The cooler I put in this build was just for an example, you would have to be certain the cooler you eventually buy for this build has a 1700 mounting kit and not many of them do at the moment.

That is an AMD based system. This one would be in your budget but you would be better off getting the 5800x and not the 5600x which would push you over budget once GPU was added.

You may notice I did not add windows. You would need to goto the microsoft website and download the installer for Win10 from there, or Win11 if it is availableas a free download. Win10 is actually free but you can get a license from multiple places if you so wish.

Until the GPU shortage crisis ends there are not many options available for low cost builds.
