Advice needed, how to hinge a gate to this space

I'm a DIY newbie. I've been tasked with making and fitting a gate to the space as below, and I have no idea how to hinge it.

I've looked at various youtube vids as to how to actually make the gate, pretty confident that I can do so.

When I hang the gate, I want it so as when it is closed, the boards are level with the existing fence boards.

Because of the limited space in the internal area (where the bins/oil tank is), the gate needs to open outwards, and ideally hinged on the right hand side as viewed in the above pic.

Also it would be great if the gate could swing 180 degrees and ends up against the fence on the right side. If possible I'd want hinges on the inside so as they are not seen when the gate is close.

On each side there are two posts, which are causing me problems figuring out how to hinge.

Left hand side:-

The gate left and right hand verticals will likely be 45mm/70mm.

If I use a standard wing type hinges, it'll only open max 90 degrees as it'll foul on the existing fence board attached to the post. Tee hinges need to be fitted flush, and I don't have a surface on the post that can be flush to the gate.

Is there any sort of a hinge with a goose neck or some such that will allow the hinge not to foul on the fence board/post and let the gate open 180 degrees ?

Or some other solutions that is obvious to the DIY regulars, or is it a case of just using wing hinges and accepting a 90 degree max opening ?

@Diggsy Thanks for the reply, I've never looked at anything like this, nor do I have any idea of the fixing options, so just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something completely obvious. I'll hinge on the outside.

You’re welcome. It can be quite challenging when you’ve never done something before, but this really is a simple enough solution - just hinge it on the outside, with whichever finish of hinge that best suits your needs. They come in all manner of shapes, sizes and colour of finish, so I’m sure you’ll find the ideal one to suit.

One other thing I’d recommend is to ensure you fit them to somewhere solid on both the post side, and the gate itself. You may need to adjust the positioning of the strengthening sections on your gate to ensure they align with what’s already in the fence if that makes sense?

Good luck!

Then fit 2 slamming strips behind the gate to stop it opening the other way too far. Also called Stop Battens. They are also so you can't see through the gaps either side of the gate but you don't have that issue as the fence is already slotted :p

Yeap, figured that just the fence boards wouldn't be enough to retain the hinges, so I'll ensure they are fitted such that they align with the cross strut behind the fence boards and screwing thru the board into the strut. The first board of the existing fence either side of the opening is attached to the fence post, so I'll similarly screw right thru the board and into the post.

When I get the gate made and fitted, I'll post some pictures

Yeah, I've 20x20mm "door stop" on my shopping list for the builders merchant.

I use roofing batten, either 38mmx 25mm or 50mm x 25mm. The non blue or pink stuff because that would look daft. But it depends on how much gap there is to fix it to. Make sure you pilot hole the 20mm stuff because it could split being so thin with either screws or nails.
Also the 20mmx20mm stuff is generally planed pine for internal door use so make sure you use seal it otherwise it will warp and split (Possibly)
