Advice Needed : i7 6700K Overclock

Hey guys, i have an 8 pack binned i7 6700k that I bought from the MM a while back.

I have an Artic Freezer II AIO on it, so temps are pretty good.

The most I can get out of it now is 4.5gig, I updated the bios and previously it was 4.6gig. Ths was just using Gigabytes own easytune facility.
The board is a Z270 HD3P with 16 gig of DDR4 running on xmp profile at 3000Mhz.

Using HW Info for temps and for vcore there were both sitting respectively at 55c and 1.160 across all 4 cores.
Being an 8 pack binned cpu I would love to get this closer to 5gig if possible, its for use in iracing on my sim rig, and I drive in VR. Iracing really only uses 1 core, so the higher the better for it.

1.35v was a nice Vcore for that chip (Intel quoted 1.52v max). I got a 4.8GHz OC out of a non-binned chip with 1.35v and temps were under control with an Antec 120mm AIO.

Thanks @Danny75 , does HW Info give the correct Vcore or should I use something like CPU-Z?

Look up a guide for that board/cpu, and whilst finding CPU limit set your ram to stock not xmp.

@Webzta hey man, I bought this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...-channel-kit-black-grey-tdged4-my-089-tg.html from here, it 300Mhz ram, cant belive I only paid £50 for it 3 weeks ago and it's £80 now.
Leave it at xmp or set it manually?

Leave it at stock (not XMP) while finding overclock limits for CPU. Then it's up to you whether you just use XMP or take time tweaking it.
