Hi all,

This morning I took delivery of the components for my first ever build. Looking at the manual for the mobo there's a lot I don't understand. I think I'm clear on clicking e hardware into place, but I could use a little help please.

Specifically, what's all this TPU, EPU, GPU Boost, BT Go, MemOK etc stuff about? Which switches should I be flipping and which should I leave disabled? I'm a bit lost and would appreciate any help.

Core i5 2500k
Asus P8z68-v
Gelid Tranquillo cooler
Msi nvidia gtx 570
8gb ram
500gb hdd
Antec modular 750w psu

To get you started
TPU leave at default of disabled
EPU set to enabled to have power saving features working
MEM OK can be ignored unless the system won't boot up
BT Go is optional bluetooth software
GPU boost can be ignored unless your into overclocking

Once you boot the system for the first time and enter the bios load the optimized defaults from the exit menu.

with this set up one would persume soon or later you going for the overclock?
as been mentioned leave the tpu off unless you going to oc it,but you can turn it on in the bios any way
and as to epu leave it enabled, gpu boost you only use if you only going to use intel graphics on the chip.by go is only an extra feature but works great and yet again you can turn this on or off any time using the a1 suite 11

Thanks a lot guys - that's great.

I'll leave all of the bits and bobs as they are for now and fiddle with the bios when I decide to OC it. This is my first build so I'm taking it a step at a time.

Thanks again.
