Currently have the following spec;

Q6600
Asus p5k
2gb corsair xms
X1600XT
80GB Seagate
120gb WD

Just thinking atm of either buying a new gfx of some sort but not sure what to do or what to get. If I was to buy another X1600XT and stick them in crossfire then what kind of performance increase would this give. Considering you can buy a brand new 1 for £50 would this be worthwhile?

I can play older games on that system fine but newish games such as cod4 I can be struggling at times, especially in smoke etc.

Thanks in advance

if its cheap enough then go for it... Personally i wouldnt go for any 7xxx Geforces due to lower image quality compared to the Radeons of that era.

X1900 series is excellent, and so is X1950 PRO if you can get good prices

Thanks, are there any other cards you would recommend at all? whats your views on basic 8600gt?

Thanks

Depends on pricing... Its not bad tech at all but if you game at anything over 1240x1024 i wouldnt reccomend it...

Basically:
What games do you wanna play?
How often do you game?
How important are AA/AF/High settings to you?
What res do you game at?
Budget?

Answer me those things and i will look to see what i can find from OCers and give you some advice on what to look for second hand.
