If you're making a high end 775 system you're best sticking with DDR2 RAM for price/performance ratio, If you're gonna fork out for DDR3 then you may as well go i7.
I'd recommend sticking with the 775/DDR2 combo
I can see you're keeping in mind an SLI set up but you'd be better going for a P45 m/b and spending the money you save on that on a better single gfxcard, eg 260
If you want to OC get a decent CPU cooler but if you're not then the stock will do
So that sort of set up would look something like this
M/B Asus P5Q 97.94
Memory OCZ 4 gb PC8500 57.49 - this week only offer
gfx EVGA geforce gtx 260 "core 216 superclocked" 264.49
You'd have a much better gaming rig investing your money this way

Welcome to the forums!

You're not allowed to mention competitors, so you'll have to remove that for starters, please read the FAQ.

Your best bet is to give us your budget and we can always suggest the best rig for the money, leaving you to change to suit your taste.

95thrifles advice is very sound. SLI is not really worth it unless you need the extra performance as you're an ubergamer or something. Price/performance wise it's terrible. The best single card for you is probably a variant of the GTX260-216, EVGA have a good warranty and support. DDR2 RAM for sure, OCZ is nice and cheap but good quality.

Competitors?
ummm, my budget, well how can i say, XD i already have board hehe and memorys so ill have to go DDR3 but check taht 790i ultra doesnt support i7 and to be honest i prefer new technologies (ddr3) i didnt go for extreme or i7 because its too expensive and doesnt make so much difference.

i wonder, is my pc ok i mean the setup i posted first

The E8400 is a good choice, if you put a better cooler on then you can OC from 3Ghz to 4Ghz pretty easily.

Good Thanks XD, im not interested in overcloaking to be honest. i dont like to push sistems over the limit, kind of too risky for me.
ill read faqs.
yah i got the pieces but i really like to re confirm the choices i made. any suggestion or is ok the way it is?
