Hello people :D

I am looking at upgrading my current build and would like to get some advice on which way to go to get the most out of my budget of £500.

My current build

Asrock Z68 extreme4 gen3 motherboard
Intel i5 2500k @ 4.4ghz
2x4gig corsair vengeance @ 9.10.9.27 1866mhz
Ati radon 7970 @ 1100mhz
Ocz ssd

I have already ordered a h100 cooler as my current one doesn't keep the cpu as cool as I would like so I thought while its open upgrade :D

I would like to know where you guys would go with this with my budget. I have read a few articles about using a NVidia 460 as a dedicated PhysX card but that would be a first for me. The savings could then go on more memory or changing the cpu.

Look forward to reading the replys
Thanks :D

There doesn't really look like any reason you need to upgrade, the most you could do to that now is buy an ivybridge i5/i7 and crossfire 7970. But that seems a bit overkill

what you doing on it?

as it seems as good spec as it is, spending another £500 would depend on what you want more of, a better cpu, a better vga, more memory or more hdd space

can't really spec any changers until i know what your after, more memory is always nice to have tbh in any app or system build.

for more speed a high spec cpu will give you more speed but if your cpu isn't running cool im guessing your overclocking it?

so a newer cpu might not give the jump you think, what case you using and psu etc?

your card is a good one anyway same as your sdd, unless you need more space.

what games you play? that aren't working how you'd like them to?

System doesn't need upgrading imo. What resolution do you game at? Where are you looking to boost performance?

I'd be looking at a custom water loop or gpu if you play at >1080p. Possibly sound card, speakers or even stereo amp and pair of decent bookshelf speakers?

I have ordered H100 just waiting on it to turn up today fingers crossed.

The reason behind my post Is I would like a higher frame rate in guild wars 2 in large events. My comps fine 90% of the time it just slows down with large numbers of people.

I have been in touch with nc and run many programmes to try and find any problems with my system and I have found none. So taking that in mind I thought a cheapish upgrade might fix my problem.

I might go with another 2x4gig memory and see if that helps.

Any advice you guys could give would be great thanks

Think I should have started this thread explaining what I wanted to do first sorry about that
