I will try keep this as short as i can.

Basicly a month or so ago i agreed to sell my mate my pc for 250 pounds which i felt like i was doing him a favor selling it at that price. This was on the basis i was going to america april time and would no longer need it.

However the moving to america has been put back to september so i thought i would sell him the pc still for the agreed price and treat my self to a sandybridge system.

Now i have the money for the mobo cpu and ram the 250 pounds i got off him was for my graphics card and i planed to use a hard drive and psu out of my current pc and use the older psu i had to repalce the one i took out.

The problem is the older psu no longer seems to work i cant get the pc to boot using it. So now i am going to have to buy a psu for either his pc or my new one which really eats into my budget and now i feel like i am robbing my self

Barring in mind hes allready given me the money for the pc hes buying what do i do. Do i ask for more money? Is 250 pounds a fair price for the pc i am selling? ( spec in my sig). Do i give him the money back and say he deals off, or is it my fault for been so dumb selling it for that price and not testing the psu before hand.

Really dont know what to do so any advice you can provide would be good.

Remember he is your friend not some kind of random. Secondly, you agreed to sell him a fully working computer and that's what he should receive. Mark it down as bad luck and move on.

So, you've sold your mate your PC, and now find out that you need a PSU for your new one? You're asking if it's right to ask him for more money or ask for your money back because of this? Neither is the answer.

Your problem, you foot the bill.

He has given you the money already so give him the damn pc! :D hate people who go back on deals lol, you either have something for sale or you dont, its simple.
For youe info I have just spotted a 500w psu on members market for £28 go buy that problem solved.

So your mate gave you 250 quid for your PC and you've not given it to him??

WHY NOT?

Give him the PC he paid for and if you must build a new one then do so with your own money.
