I've had my Nokia 6600 on Orange contract for nearly 2 years now I think and it's dying fast ie. the battery won't last the day without a charge even if I don't use it.

I had my heart set on the Nokia N80 but then the E70 tempted me, as did the SE P990i (despite being a Nokia fanboy). I've also noticed the excellent prices for unlimited 3G 'mobile internet' usage on T-Mobile.

I send 300-500 texts a month, probably about 5 mins of calls :p and expect to be using the 3G a lot. I want WiFi on the phone and the ability to record video for as long as the memory card will allow. Anything else is just a bonus really.

Orange don't seem to be offering the N80 on upgrade yet (surprise  ) and who knows when the other two phones will be available... T-Mobile's talk plans seem great but their selection of phones is awful.

I've had really bad experiences with O2 in the past and Voda's phone selection seems poor too.

Which phone of the would you choose and why? Any other options you folks can suggest?

Orange have the phone for sale on their site, and somebody on the N80 thread has received one as an upgrade from Orange.

It may be worth calling and hassling them :D

The N80 is now available on upgrade. It's not cheap though. Mind you, where else would you get a 3 megapixel camera, wifi enabled pda functions and a phone for free?

i've been with 02 for two years at £30/month and they told me that to upgrade on the 5th of june when they have them available would be £220!!! However, i rang the new customers line who told me that to start a new contract it woudl be £99.99 - thats some awesome customer servicr for you.

Of course it would be that much, if you upgraded with them. Your only spending a tiny amount with them and it really doesnt matter how long you have been with them for ;).
They wont give the n80 for free especially on such a low tariff as they will take into account how much your actual spending is, if its low then they wont budge no matter how much you threaten to leave them.
I dont know if they will allow u to cancel your contract and get a new one, seems like a lot of people are pulling that stunt and i wouldnt be surprised if they put a stop to it. But that seems to be your best bet, getting a new contract.
