you should upgrade the cpu as well

Drivers = meh (that's a polite summary).
PCI-E 5.0 = ugh, often works better without it.
5060 Ti 8GB = do not buy.
Mainly playing old games, especially ones which use 32-bit PhysX/OpenGL = 5000 series is not a good choice right now.

5060 Ti 16GB is an ok price, but don't be deceived by the VRAM, since these are not very fast (e.g. I don't recommend getting one for 4K).
5070 is alright (at current prices) against the 9070, except for the 12GB for ~£500.
5070 Ti is alright (at current prices) against the 9070 XT.
5080 Super (if rumours are true) is a lot more attractive than the 5080. 5080 is around ~15% faster than the 5070 Ti.
5090 price is silly, but if you want the best, that's just how it is.

you should upgrade the cpu as well, what would be the priority?
how much ram have you got currently? total physical 16gb total virtual 26.4gb
what about ssd storage? Crucial P1 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD
what about your psu? RM850 850W

when we ask your exact current hardware specs...we literally mean it lol

thankyou for your reply

For the CPU, look at the 5700X3D. Be sure to upgrade the BIOS to at least F10 before installing the new CPU.
For the GPU, look at the RX 9060 XT to be released next week. Make sure you check on the forum for special offers from @Gibbo. If that’s not fast enough there’s the RX 9070 XT or you could step down to the Arc B580.
For the monitor, look for a high refresh rate 3440x1440 monitor.

thankyou for your reply

my recommendation would be similar to @Quartz 's suggestions
with your budget, you can upgrade both the cpu and the gpu at the same time, and to add 32gb ram as well + the monitor
i'd keep your ssd and psu. the ssd is old but decent-ish, the psu is good and will last

you will NEED to do a bios update BEFORE you swap out the cpu

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £901.92 (includes delivery: £0.00)

@Havoxine what cpu cooler are you using? that may need an upgrade too (definitely need an upgrade if you're using a wraith stealth - the stock cooler supplied with the 3600)
