Advice needed.

Been a while since last upgrade - but my Tyan s2895 motherboard went bang over the weekend, so its as good a time as any to dive into Quad Core's. I've been running on two 254 Opt's with 8Gb. Ran rather nicely until the board went bang. Admittedly, I only use it for games now, (8800GTX inside) and it ran rather nicely until recently.

I'm going for the Q9450, i want back to 8Gb eventually, but I'm going for 4Gb just now - so trying to stick to 2Gb modules.

Was thinking:
- Motherboard: Asus Rampage
- Memory: 2x OCZ 4Gb PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Reaper.
- CPU cooler: Tuniq Tower 120.

Bad choice? Better options? Got a budget of £500-550.

For your cpu cooler why not go for a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme + Noctua NF-P12 fan. It will be virtually silent and very cool
