Ok first post
I custom built me a new machine a few weeks back, gigabyte EG41 mobo, core 2 duo E7500 cpu, Sapphire Radeon HD2600XT and a cheap and nasty case with winpower 450W PSU
i've got 3 sata HD, a 250Gb boot drive, and two 1Tb for media stuff and such lol
boot drive and 1st 1Tb are always inside the case and the other 1Tb is hooked up via external caddy
I tried booting with the external one hooked up inside running on the psu, the machine booted to dos? i think but it wouldnt clear dos, i played with the boot order in bios but it wouldnt boot,
I took the other HD out and it booted fine, like always
i am looking to get a new psu because the modding bug has biten, so what would you recommend, i'm not looking for 1000W+ and i'm only a medium user, prolly the most taxing use for my machine is borderlands lol
i have a small feeling it's the PSU for some odd reason,
everything in the machine is running at factory settings
if anyone can offer any advice i'd be highly grateful,
