I am getting a bite tired of my current rig and was very keen in putting it all in a micro case (probably Shuttle XPC SN85G4V3 Aluminium Barebones System - AMD 64 (Socket 754) and run media centre on it.

Basically heres what i have to go in:

3400 754 AMD64
1 Gig DDR400 (2 DIMMS)
Gainward 6800 LE
120gb HDD Samsung Spinpoint SATA
Creative X-Fi Fatality

Just wondering if you think there would be any problems with this setup?

non what so ever, unless the graphics card has a dual slot cooler on it, but i didnt think many if any of the LE's did so you should be fine

also a great shuttle, i currently have one with a 3400 clawhammer in and it really is great :), plenty powerful for anythin i do with it and also quiet :), loudest thing being my raptor, next loudest being the power supply

got the fan set to medium i think (the 1400rpm one) in the bios and it keeps my cpu idle at about 32 - 34 degrees, but is still quieter than the noise of the psu and hard drive so good all round :)

Yes it is unlocked..

to 12pp 8vp..

But i do have a Zalman cooler on it currently so might have to return to the old stock cooler. Although if im not using the PCI slot does it mean it can take up to spaces?

I notice OCUK have them out of stock.. Know anywhere else i could try as i want it ASAP (Dont post - email in trust)

if ya interested, check out the soltec mod post below this one. its the same mod im doing at the min, cut a hole out of the case to fit the cooler, does look quite smart when its done :)

cool.. dosnt look to shabby..

But kind of spoils the neatness of the whole unit. Id rather just put stock cooler or similar slimline one on. Are there slimline alternatives that are better than stock coolers..?
