Hi, I'm building my mates 14 year old son a pc for xmas and have a max budget of £800, don't need peripherals or monitor.
I'm only use o buying high end stuff so am struggling with a few bits. It's aimed at gaming so ideally I want a gtx970 in it or maybe a 380x now?
I'm considering a i3-4170 (haswell) cpu or i3 6300 (skylane) would this be too slow for the Gfx card and unsure what motherboard to get as wont be overclocking.
It needs a wireless card and needs to be a bit flashy/blingy as he is 14, not over the top though.
Gfx power takes most importance.

Thanks in advance.

hey there, the above build is good, but as an alternative maybe something like this would be suitable? its slower from cpu grunt, but i3's are still very good and will play majority of games, but being a socket 1150 you have the option for the i5 K's or even the i7s if they ever become required.

ive seen this case on youtube with a Titan, so if you wanted a longer card then should have no problems.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £758.61
(includes shipping: £11.70)

Thanks for everyone's help. Nearly got the right system. Deffo want a 970 in it but then struggling to get a decent clu also, may have to settle for a 380x instead, would a 500w psu be enough?
