Evening guys,
I mate of mine wants to bring his Xbox 360 elite over to my flat tomorrow so we can play together, what would be the best way to connect the 360 to my BenQ 24" FP241WZ?
I was thinking that we could connect it with HDMI to the monitor and then use an optical cable to connect the sound to my I/O module from my Xfi ie. the input part.
Will this work though?

Right, so instead of HDMI, i'll use VGA, does VGA carry full 1080p, just wanting the best experience really.
Optical stays the same if I'm correct?

That's what I thought but Joshs comment was confusing me a bit.
I'll just test it out and see what happens, just hoping that it won't be a problem on 64bit windows.

Right Manbread, could you please explain exactly how the speakers are connected since, judging from pictures of the cable, there are 2 cables along with the VGA one. :)

Unfortunetaly that wouldn't work as my speakers dont have a free mini-jack input as far as I can see.
Will just use the optical solution I think, do I still need the VGA cable for that or is there an optical port on the Xbox?

EDIT:
Have found it out I think, I can get a female-to-female VGA adaptor, attach my VGA cable to one end, and the Xbox cable to the other.
That way, the VGA cable can reach the aux. red/white inputs on my I/O drive, hopefully creating sound.

I don't know if thats what it's called, its those red/white things on the I/O module:p.
Just sent out my mate to search for this adaptor and we can hopefully get some gaming going soon.
