Advice on a blog script

Hi,

I want to start a little blog site so that myself and family members can post up how they are doing and post pictures. The idea is we can all see how each other is doing and in time have a big collection of pictures and memories. I was looking for it to be simple to post new entries and be able to customise the design via CSS. Ideally I would like to have the pictures shown in the lightbox script just coz it looks nice

Anyone know if this is possible?

Stay away from drupal, Its not a nice cms.

Wordpress for small sites, and modx for large sites.

have you tried facebook? sounds exactly like what you are after tbh. i have never actually used it btw just i know roughly what it does
