advice on a build around Intel E6750

I am thinking that this would be a good build, I was not too sure about the memory if it goes well with the motherboard.... I read a lot of posts and it seems that this motherboard does have problems with some memory. Any advice on this system build would be appreciated.

Processor- Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB)

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3P rev2 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2

Graphics card- Sapphire ATI Radeon HD2600 PRO 512MB DDR2 HDTV/Dual
DVI (PCI-Express)

DVD Drive - Asus DRW-1814 BLT 18x18 DVD+RW Serial ATA Dual layer

Memory - Geil 2GB PC2-6400C4 800HMZ ultra low latency DDR2 dual channel

mainly for light multi media work and some gaming.

There's only one lot of Geil RAM listed on the compatibility list, but i don't know of any problems using any Geil/OCZ RAM, this stuff has got popular with gigabyte P35/Core 2 builds: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-072-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

Dosn't a lot of video encoding use multi-cores now ? or is my memory off?
If so, id say go for the q6600 instead.
