Advice on a flash

Afternoon people,

I have been getting on with the stock flash on my camera (Nikon D5300) as I rarely use it I have been living with its drawbacks. However I think it is time to get a proper flash. Photography is a hobby for me and I tend to only need a flash on rare occasions so not looking at anything special. Some research Yongnuo seem to be well regarded for 'cheap' flash's but looking on Amazon and other online places there are other flash's for around the same price with similar reviews so looking for some advice. The Yongnuo's seem around £70-£80 which seems like a reasonable budget but happy to push it for something better.

We use several Yongnuo YN568EX II for studio and wedding work and they have never let us down once and would happily recommend one.

The Neewer VK750 II pro is also a good shout.

Yongnuos are mostly fine. I have had several in the past and currently own three 560iii models. One of which is stuck on full power which is a common fault. I would buy more, however.
