A friend of mine is looking for a hifi system for her living room that meets the following criteria:
1) Small-ish discreet speakers that can be wall mounted in the living room, (2 speakers should do I think?)
2) To use with her laptop (Dell Inspiron, on-board sound card) where all her music is kept (mainly MP3 tracks/CD's)
3) Within a £150 budget
4) Ability to connect her old record player and play LPs if possible.
5) Plenty of base and ability to play music loud with good quality sounds/distortion free
I was thinking that she might be better off buying an amplifier, base box and speaker setup and connecting it to the laptop, but since her budget is rather low, would she be better off buying a good PC sound system like this one?
