Advice on a system upgrade within budget

Guys, looking to help a friend upgrade his system. He's hit me with a budget a little lower than I expected. He's looking for a new motherboard/cpu/gpu/ssd combo for under £300, ideally under £250.

Can you help me out?

SSD - 120gb £39
A cheap z97 motherboard (they start at £62)
Leaves around £90 for a gpu if he's willing to spend £100 - Gigabyte Geforce 750ti is £90

It's nothing crazy but thats what you get for that budget..

What's he upgrading from? Can he use any of his existing components? It would help if you told us what he has now.

If it's for gaming. With ram this is slightly over budget but it should play pretty much anything. A cheaper ssd could also be used instead although I, not a fan of the lower end Kingston ones that were cheaper

With that budget, you'd be better off checking out the MM for some used parts.
