Advice on a watercooling case please

I am going to be building a new PC and thought I would like to try some watercooling.

I thought I would start with the case and buy bits as and when I can.... The case I really do like is the Silverstone Temjin TJ09, I have been told it has the room for watercooling but is really a air cooling case.

So here I am to ask for you advice, what case would you all suggest and why? any help on this would be great :)

If i was to buy a new case especially for watercooling then i would get a Mountain Mods UFO case as these look amazing, great build quality and have plenty of space for watercooling.

Had one, personally it was far too large. measure 1.5ftx1.5ftx1.5ft.... Thats how big it is.
Could move in if you had nowhere else to live!

I personally would stick with the TJ09. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and there's lots of room in there for watercooling. That said, if you want to air-cool it instead, you'll be just as happy. The 09 has excellent cooling properties.

As for watercooling. I'm not sure what kt you should go for. I believe the TJ09 has 2 120mm fan blowholes at the top that would allow you to fit the radiator.
 
I hadn't looked at the TJ07, it looks like a very nice case, I will be having a look into this case further. Thanks for all your input & links so far I am very happy with what I have read and seen so far.

The UFO cas looks awsome but im not sure where I would put a case that size and getting to delivered to UK seems to be a real pain.

Please keep your suggestions & help coming :)

I have not quite decided yet as I am not sure if im going to use a rad with 2 or 3 fans. If I go for a rad with 2 fans I will order a Silverstone Temjin TJ09 and if I go for a rad with 3 fans I will order a Silverstone Temjin TJ07.

What hardware are you considering to put in it?

If you are thinking quad core and/or dual gfx at any stage, then go with the 120.3 & TJ07 option IMO.
 
Hey,

Well got a 120.2 and have ordered a new Lian-Li G70 black case so i can mount the rad in the top, i got the dual radiator as i am only going to be cooling my OC'd E6600 and 8800GTX for now, maybe if i go SLI then maybe get a 120.3 rad but i can't see it happening any time soon.

I ordered my TJ07 today....Am hoping to upgrade to a C2D cpu and watercooling for it over the next month or so...(as funds allow :( )

Am trying workout which PSU to go for....(Not very easy finding one with two 8pin pci express & 4 pci express connectors :mad: )

Cool, I have ordered my TJ07 today :) At the moment im only thinking of something like a E6600 with a single 8800 or something along them lines. This will be a complete new build but over time.

I decided this case would be better due to the room and the options that will be available to me...well that and I think the case looks very nice :)

This will be my first attempt at wastercooling which im quite excited about...been reading loads like ya do :)

Have you received your TJ07 case yet ??...and did you go for the one with the side window ??? Plus is it a Black or silver one you ordered ??

Yeah case turned up on Saturday, I went for the case with no window in black.

So far I have the case, Thermochill 120.3 Rad, Galaxy 850w Power Supply and a few other bits. Still need to order a motherboard & processor next, I have been looking at the DFI 965-s Motherboard which I dont think is available in the UK till May & a E6600 Processor.

Still need to decide on the memory, Video Card & the other water cooling bits.

Chaparral, has your case been delivered yet? and have found a power supply for your case yet?

No case yet,,,It's still on back order...
They have the TJ07 with no side window instock,,but i want the TJ07 with the side window...

I ordered a Enermax Infiniti 720W PSU in the end...The PSU came friday but it still with the courier,as i was not at home to sign for it..

chaparral, have you got any more pics of the water cooled TJ07 case you linked on the other post by snarloas (looking a new case)? or a log of the build?

Looks like some good ideas and would like to see how other people have installed water cooling in this case.
