I wanna buy a new wifi router for our house and I was wondering what would be the best option.

My girlfriend will be using her laptop with a wifi card and I'll have my computer using an RJ45 cable. The thing is I never used Wifi so I'm wondering if I should buy a wifi card for my computer instead of having an RJ45 cable(is that expensive?)

Also what speed should I get? 54Mbit/s or more?

Hope someone can give me some pointers.

I was thinking about this : Netgear WGR614IS.

Is it okay? Also I do not really understand the IS at the end because I can't find the IS version on the netgear website only WGR614, is it maybe a special version for Europe or something?

personally i would suggest you stay wired (as connectivity is more reliable in my opinion) this depends what you use your system for i.e if your a gamer your better off been wired but if you just browse the net then its your choose really.
