I own a sony 75 inch TV (75X94E)
its a native 4k pannel.
i game on it either natively or if a game is demanding at 1440p
I have been told that using 1440p on a native 4k TV is wrong and that i should always output a native resolution of 4k.
some games i note have resolution sliders - not really sure what they do
my tv is noted as supporting the following
1080p @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4
: Yes
1080p @ 120Hz
: Yes
1440p @ 60Hz
: Yes
4k @ 30Hz @ 4:4:4
: Yes
4k @ 60Hz
: Yes
4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4
: Yes
so should i stop using games at 1440p and do something else. I have heard that you can use your GPU (i have a gtx 1080) to set a custom scaler - how would i go about doing that
