I have recently ventured into PC gaming and have built a modest rig at the end of last year.
However i am finding it difficult to play games that i am under the impression my system should run with ease after checking the specification needs for a game.

for example
The Forest
Company of heroes 2
escape from Tarkov

all run incredibly poorly even on the lowest settings

My network is not fast but i am upgrading to Fibre at the end of the month when Open reach upgrade my hub

one final point I am currently using a Samsung 40 inch TV to play on until I can afford a monitor

My hardware is listed below any advice on what to change out or any advice in general would be greatly appreciated.

OS - Windows 10
CPU - Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GHz Kaby Lake 14nm Technology
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB DDR4 3000MHz
Motherboard - Asustek Prime Z270-K
GPU - Nvidia GeForce 1070Ti
Storage - 931GB Seagate ST1000DM010-2EP102 (SATA

thanks in advance for any support, please let me know if any more information is required

The game lags consistantly.
For instance every movement is delayed and jumpy.
I have too look around/aim incredibly slow due to the lag.
Tonight on escape from tarkov i would release the movement keys and i would actually stop a second or two later.

I have suspected my Harddrive for a while because when i look at task manager it can regularly be hitting 100% with tasks such as superfetch.

My internet is not great atm but i am awaiting fibre hopefully the end of the month when my hub is upgraded.

The tv is not 4k and doesnt have a game mode. But the resolution is massive due to the size of the tv.

I will try the windows install after i upgrade to a SSD

Thanks to everyone for your help ill check back in when ive done the upgrades
Thanks
