I am building a PC for my son, using some new components and old. I have a couple of questions can anyone give me some guidance.

PC spec will be

Gigabyte P55-UD5
Intel i5 750 Processor
4 GB DDR3 12800 Ram (2x2)
4 x 500Gb SATA Hard Drives (already have these Samsung F1’s)
Sapphire HD5770 Vapour X GPU
Pioneer BDC-S03XLB Optical Drive
Corsair HX650 CPU
Antec P182 Special Edition Case (already have this spare)
Iiyama E2607WS-B1 Monitor
Windows 7 64bit

A couple of questions then,

1 - Will the PSU I have chosen be sufficient for the PC?

2 – Will the HD5770 cope with the 1920 x 1200 res monitor? (nothing too intensive animation and games)

3 – What would be the best CPU cooler to fit the CPU and Case?

Thanks all…………..

1 - Yup that PSU will run pretty much anything up to a 5870/5890 Crossfire rig, so that will have no problems whatsoever.
2 - The 5770 should be fine for that res for any application out there and should do quite well with newer games - some settings may have to be lowered though for brand new releases like MW2 / BFBC2 / ME2 etc, but it will still be fine ;)
3 - If you could fit a Prolimatech Megahalem then that would do nicely with a fan or two. The standard cooler that comes with (the retail version of) the i5 should suffice to all needs though.

1) Yes. With room to expand
2) Fine for that usage.
3) If you're not going to OC the CPU, stick with the standard cooler. Otherwise there's a plethora of choices. The Megahelens quoted above is an excellent cooler for OCing, but overkill otherwise.
