Hi all can i get some advice on a build that i am going to place.

The main useage will be gaming with some basic photoshop work.

I have added the option of a pre configured watercooled case.

1 x Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
1 x Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
1 x Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9)

1 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 FLEX 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
3 x Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM (ST2000DL003)
1 x LG BH10LS38 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW Lightscribe Drive - Black (OEM)

1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXV2UK)

5 x Akasa SATA-III 100cm Rounded Data Cable
1 x OcUK V8 Watercooled Case - Cooler Master CM-690 Lite Dominator **2011 Compatible**

Also need to look for a monitor aswell so any advice would be helpfully 24" and above

Regards

Nick

if your paying that money for a mobo, maybe worth considering one of the gen 3 mobos for ivybridge ?

any reason for the 3 x2tb drives, prices are really stupid at the moment could you get away with just 1 ?

do you have blue ray software, if not better looking at a retail drive over an oem one.

what sort of budget have you got for the monitor ?

Hi and welcome
Quite a few areas you could save money if it's only basic photo work, drop the CPU back to the 2500k and drop the ram back to 8 gig
If you don't need all the storage now, and can wait 6 months (approx) hdd prices are high ATM and whilst they continuing to rise they should be coming back down around then
You may want to look at a modular psu as it'll make your case tidier
Edit: re monitor, have a look at a decent IPS screen, they have much better colour reproduction than TN panels, the 24" ones are quite expensive, if this is too much there's more reasonably priced 22" ones

It depends what you consider "basic" photoshop work because the 2600k would help but you could get away easily with a 2500k if it really is basic.

The other thing is those hard drives, the prices are rocketing so unless its really necessary to have three just grab one and upgrade as you need to to try and avoid the ridiculous costs.

Maybe a slightly better PSU aswell so you have more breathing space for future upgrades

Ok thanks for the advice i have made a few changes

Added

1 x Hazro HZ27WC 8-Bit 27" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black

Changed

Removed 2 x Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM (ST2000DL003)

Replace PSU for Lepa G-Series 900W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply - with FREE LEPA Hard Drive Enclosure

Will order in five minutes unless any one see any problems
