Advice on buying a new shuttle

Hi Everyone, I'm on the look out for a new shuttle system, mainly as a second rig and to act as a backup for my main rig should any problems arise etc.

However I owned a shuttle a couple of years back and I had a mass problem with heat and cooling issues (it nearly fried my 3200+)

It also one day refused to boot and I ended up loosing all my C drive data due to some corruption with the memory (dont ask) although when it worked I quite like it, for its size and wow factor etc, the model I had was a Shuttle SN85G4 V2
I ended up getting rid and building a full size rig.

But I'm thinking of giving the shuttle another go.
I was looking at going for an Intel based machine, either the SD31P or a SB83G5M

I do plan to using for some gaming, like counterstrike but nothing ground breaking.

Now my main concern is :

Heat
Noise
Stability

Can anyone give me any pointers on the above models please

Thanks

I've got an SD31P, its pretty quiet if you run the fans in ultra quiet mode. Still manages to keep a Pentium 830D running at 3.5Ghz reasonably cool, given the amount of heat its kicking out.

As with most intel chipsets, stability isnt a problem.
