Advice on compact

Sister-in-law is after a new P&S, £200 max. Can anyone advise on whats best at the mo? She will be shooting her daugther a lot, so the main point is it needs to be able to start shooting as soon as possiable.

Oh and only Canons please

EDIT: Actually These are slightly too expensive by the looks of things... I thought that they were around £200 dead on.

Have a look at the IXUS 220 HS. It can be had for £145.
