Advice on components for new PC

I have a budget of around £1600, The PC will be used primarily for games.

I will be interested in overclocking too, so parts that are good for that

Also what operating system is best these days for gaming.

P.S I'll only be putting in one gfx card ( dont think that putting in more is ever worth it )
