Advice on CPU & Motherboard Compatibility

Hi all,
I am new to computer building and unsure on component compatibility, due to me building my first gaming computer I have a question as dumb as it may be to ask if a am3 cpu will fit a am3 motherboard which i already know but here goes.

Will the AMD FX8350 work on a Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard?

I would suggest removing the competitor links, but both of them will work together yes, both are socket AM3+.
