Hi guys,

taking some time to fiddle with my CPU, never had any luck clocking this thing and i figure if i break it while i do it i got a nice reason to upgrade hah.

anyway specs:

cpu: amd 1100t
ram: patriot 1866 el series 32gb
mobo: gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 rev 4.0 bios f3 (latest bios i think)
psu: 850w ocz zx gold
gfx: r9 390 (dont know if this is needed)

random notes:
just replaced cmos battery as i wasn't convinced the old one wasn't duff

I'm seeing strange things, for example it boots fine on stock settings (3.3 Ghz? ) and will boost to 3.7ghz.

But if i try and set a higher multi on the CPU in the BIOS it boots into windows on 16.5 (default i think)

FSB and RAM and HT Link changes seem to take effect just not multiplier

So you can see in the pic below that if i use easy tune for example it will clock the multiplier on the cpu up to 20.5 (4.1Ghz) and it runs nice, but only 2 cores seem to be overclocked, the rest are just chilling at stock or lower

Just wondered if anyone else has seen similar behavior, perhaps i done something silly? (i mean i am assuming this is the case, i am probably the weak link)

Note there will be a certificate warning because i used a self signed cert on the server hosting this.

Also apologies if i missed some crucial information

After changing your multiplier settings in the BIOS have you tried booting into Windows and running some form of stress test? It sounds like a power saving feature (unfamiliar with AMD bios options). You should also make sure Windows power saving feature is set to high/max performance.
