Hey all,

so its payday (F Yeah!),

and I'm looking at improving my sound setup, atm am using SB Audigy which costed me like £40 5 years ago, and logitech x210 from curry's, which i must say are loud but wouldn't say they have too much quality.

atm am looking at:
Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card

Wavemaster MOODY 2.1 Stereo Speaker System

Im looking to spend no more than £200

honestly I'm not a great sound guy, except for you plug speakers into amp and it all magically works :P

im not after 7.1 since I wouldn't use it too often and my room is too small to create any kind of theatrical effects etc. but I want sub for more bass.

I just assumed more expensive = better quality :P

I always like the harmon kardon soundsticks ( iii is current model ) for looks and performance. Cost £100 new

No offence but that looks like a pair woman pleasuring devices* and chocolate fountain :P and not a set of speakers + I tend to hide my speakers, they are there to play sound and not for sho'

P.S.
orded the dgx and moody speakers :)

EDIT*

it's only really worth getting a more expensive card if you either need 7.1 or you intend connecting high quality studio monitors or £100+ headphones.

I guess that's true, I only listen to loud music so I won't need neither 7.1 or studio speakers, where I work we have several grand worth of speaker equipment :P playing from 3.5jack laptop xD feels kinda a waste on them lol but they aren't being used so IT have acquired them for "IT purposes", along with a couch and fridge.

but anyway, thanks for helping a sound newb out :3 parts ordered
