Advice on digital cameras

Hi I am looking to buy a decent digital camera i need one that has a really good zoom but doesn't distort the picture and i also want one that can take photos quickly without distorting the picture. I don't want it to be too big either as like to be able to put it in my pocket.

Looking to spend between £150-£200

Can you define "good zoom"? Do you mean high quality or large focal range, because unfortunately there's no free lunch- having one usually means sacrificing the other...

Anything with a "good" zoom will distort the picture, especially at that price range.
