Hello overclockets community I've not long been an overclockers customer and I was hoping on some advice on my current pc and future plans to upgrade some parts. My main focus for now is cooling, my pc can get pretty noisy when playing games I'm not sure why but it is. Nothing is wrong and it doesn't bother me really. Ill have to mess round with the fan controls. Anyways I was hoping to purchase some extra fans to fill the remaining slots on my tower bit I'm not sure what sizes are left to fill in and ain't too sure where the wires go. I currently have this build http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ktdetailseite&emcs2=CA-034-NX&emcs3=FS-305-OE

Could you guys advice me on what fans I should buy to fill the remaining slots. I prefer quality over price so don't mind paying extra for good parts. Also I am sorry if my iPhone autocorrect trolls this post. Cheers guys

Im a bit confused..

You have a noisy pc but want to make it noisier by adding more fans?

You don't need to fill all the gap, they are there to offer options.

There is a cooling saturation point where the fans you add will have no positive affect on temps.

What are you current CPU and GPU temps like?

I don't see where the confusion comes from...6 fans at 20dB are going to be a hell of a lot quieter than 3 fans at 30dB. 8 fans at 20dB are going to be quieter than 3 at 38dB.... more fans at lower speed will often be quieter than fewer at higher speed. My PC with 8 fans is quieter than my mum's old PC with two, for example, while being a good 5x more powerful.

OP: Without knowing your budget it's hard to suggest what to get, and without knowing which parts are noisiest then you may end up replacing the wrong parts. Try stopping individual fans (CPU, GPU, case fans, PSU [CAREFULLY]) and seeing which make most noise before choosing your priorities.

You've already got decent cooling for the most part, but I'd be tempted to swap out your fans. Change the ones on your Antec Kuhler for 2x Corsair SP120's, then change your other case fans for Corsair AF120's. Wire them up to your fan controller (there's one on your case) and set it to the volume you want.

Let us know what's making the noise, however, and we may be able to help more.

Ok thank you. My budget for fans is probs around 100-150 maybe 200 if its worth the price.
I think it's the antec fan that is noisiest but its part of the water cooling for the CPU I didnt know you could change that fan without changing the shine antec parts. I just want better cooling because I think there has been a few times where my pc has shut off with the heat. My CPU doesn't have a temperature, the only reading I get is water temp which peaks at 44 as for my gpu it around 75 at its peak. I wanna fill my remaining slots with some good fans but not sure which sizes I need. U had just finished nightshift when I posted this thread so sorry for my very fail explanation.

I don't know much about it but the 920 should have configureable fan speed via its fan controller.
