Ok so i have my new rig and think its lacking in ventilation.

I'm pretty nooby when it comes to self builds so i don't know if they're absolutely necessary but it can't hurt right?

This is my rig and case.

http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/product.php?product_id=6640

Mainboard : MSI 970A-G46 (MS-7693)
Chipset : ATI RD9x0
Processor : AMD FX @ 3700 MHz
Physical Memory : 8192 MB
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit)

And heres a piccy of the inside.

Right now with the side back on and just the browser

GPU is at 40C
CPU cores vary between at 38-49C

Playing World of Tanks on Medium/High settings

GPU 58-61C
CPU 51-59C

Far Cry 3

GPU 59-65C
CPU 55-61C

Don't think these are above normal temps but ive got space for 2-3 120mm fans. One rear and two top. Although i can only see one available pin on the motherboard.

I'm planning on getting these too. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-178-SV

I apologize for my technical ignorance in advance.

Tidying your cables will provide better airflow without spending cash.

Plus as you mention you're buying exhaust fans, those will help. You can buy splitters for your mainboard header or you could pay more and look at a cheap fan controller.

Replacing your CPU cooler would also probably help with CPU temps.

Looks like you could do with a top and/or rear exhaust fan.
The cables are a bit of a mess, but I don't think they're killing airflow too much. Tuck em' away as best you can though.

Other than that, yeah, a half decent cpu cooler would help a fair bit.

Oh, don't bother with vented PCI slot covers. Just remove the existing ones from unused slots.

to be honest i dont think your temps are all that bad considering the HSF you are using, i would buy a decent cooler first then worry about extra fans, if money was tight a fan controller could be the last thing on my list.

Agreed. Most fans these days come with 7v reducers if they're too noisey at 12v. If not they're only a couple of quid to buy.
