My XFX 5870 gone faulty for sure... can't display 1920x1200 without flickering like crazy on displayport or the 2 DVIs output. I have another XFX5870, swapped it and everything is normal

Is it better to return to Overclockers or direct with XFX?
Any advice? thanks :)

I heard XFX are pretty aweful with customer service in the UK?

Have you tested the card in another machine first?
If it does turn out to be the same in another machine, it proves it's faulty. If it's over the 30 day (I think it's 30day) return policy from OCUK then you'll have to go direct with XFX.

Hi there,

If you bought the XFX card from OCUK then the RMA is dealt with by OCUK. I don't think XFX do any direct RMAs in europe any more and have made agreements with the retailers to deal with them.

I would have a look here and either call ocuk support or post in the "Component Technical Support" part of the OCUK customer service forum section.

Thanks for the response.

The card is 6 months old. I am gonna pop it into another machine later just to be 100% sure.
I wonder if I will get a refirb or new one...

after 28 days, you will probably have to complain to OcUK:mad::( and they'll send you a brand new card:D
That was my experience anyway

i thought the shop that sold you the goods HAVE to deal with returns
