I started a thread not to long ago about high temps I was getting when I overclocked with AI Suite and a H110i GT, I have solved this issue by replacing the cooler to eliminate a bad overclock.
For a few days I've monitored AI Suites setting on a 4.2ghz overclock on a i7 4770k but during tests the speed seemed to drop back down to 3.9ghz so I've tried to do it myself in the bios.
I followed a video off youtube but I had no XMP setting on my Asus Ranger Vii for some odd reason so I went ahead anyway to see If I could still get an overclock. The only settings I have changed are as follows.
AI Overclock Tuner (Manual)
CPU Core Ratio (Sync all Cores)
Core Ratio Limit (42)
CPU Core Voltage (Adaptive)
Additional Turbo Core Voltage (1.200)
These are the only settings I've changed and it posts and loads windows, I've done some minor stress testing with really good temps but I'm concerned incase I have missed something or something important was not mentioned in the video. I would appreciate anyone's view on the settings above who maybe has had experience with this motherboard.
