Advice on fullscreen problem

I seem to have a fairly severe flicking issue, well not flickering more like whole screen issue.

This happened when i first fired up Beyond earth in DX11 but doesn't happen since changing to starting it in mantle. Its now happening with Advanced Warfare but if I put it into windowed (border less) it goes away, I don't want to play it in windowed so has anyone else had a similar problem or know of a solution?

This is on a 7970 Radeon card that plays BF4 fine among other games.

Problem solved was down to game setting Hz at 120 to match my monitor. When using the 75 hz setting it runs fine without problem.
