Advice on gaming PC build

Hello,

I am looking at buying a gaming PC that would be able to run DCS World.

I am wanting it to be able to play on at least medium settings, if not on high setting.

The requirements are:

Minimum system requirements (LOW graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel Core i3 at 2.8 GHz or AMD FX; RAM: 8 GB (16 GB for heavy missions); Free hard disk space: 120 GB; Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 / AMD R9 280X or better; requires internet activation.

Recommended system requirements (HIGH graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+ at 3+ GHz or AMD FX / Ryzen; RAM: 16 GB (32 GB for heavy missions); Free hard disk space: 120 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD); Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56 with 8GB VRAM or better; Joystick; requires internet activation.

I have very limited knowledge of PC specs.

Any suggestions/advice would be very much appreciated.

Depending on budget the spec can be adjusted:

You would need to add:
  • Ryzen 3600 @ £155 or Ryzen 2600 @£110
  • A Corsair TX550M PSU @ £60 or the 650W version at £70
  • *Note you could sub out the 1TB drive for 500GB if it's the only game you intend to play
Additional spec:

Total: £531.57 (includes shipping: £11.70)

If you have the money - the 3600 is worth the extra £45 (but not an issue if funds are tight), if you plan on playing more games 1TB is more suitable, and for an extra £10 you could get an NVMe WD drive.

Presumed you'll be playing at 1080p and as you haven't listed a budget have left the monitor to be added after confirmation of overall budget.

  • 2600 £110
  • MSI Mortar £80
  • Memory 3200 £70
  • 1660 Super £200 (If build too much - could be subbed for the value RX 590 ~£170)
  • SSD 500Gb £60
  • Case £40
  • PSU £60

TOTAL: £620 - and will play your game at high settings

Is there any monitor you would recommend?

In terms of budget, I am just trying to get an idea on what it costs. Obviously want it as cheap as possible but don't have any idea how much it should cost.

If budget allows, you don't want to go too cheap as it's the primary component that will express the performance of what could be an impressive budget build.

The below is an example - has decent reviews, excellent response 1ms, sRGB @97% (if calibrated correctly), 75Hz Freesync and adjustable stand - and can be had for £109 if shopping around:
