Long story, but my g/f's instructors car decided to pack in on the day of her test

She needs to get through the test ASAP, before any of the dates that are available on the DSA website. Therefore, i'm going to try and get her a cancellation. Not having done this before, who do I ring (DSA or test centre?) and what is the best time of day to ring?

Cheers,
Matt

my sister got a cancellation just by ringing the booking number from the DSA website.

there was no specific time, she just rang two or three times a day when she thought about it.

it took her about 2 days to get a cancellation.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a go tomorrow. Just wondering if there was a particular number for it. There's no info on the DSA site about cancellations strangely.

you ring the normal bookings line

and ask what cancellations they've got for your test centre

if they dont have any, ring tomorrow and then again .. untill you do

as above it doesnt usually take more than 2/3 days.

Try early on, 8am, then through to 10am, and again in the afternoon a few times.

People tend to phone up cancelling first thing in the morning, or late afternoon :)

I got in on a cancellation first time, phoned early morning, someone had just cancelled :p

Just make sure the car you'll use for the test is available !
