I've already selected the CPU, being an I5 2500K.

I cant make my mind up on a good mobo, I dont want to spend over 100 for a decent mobo. But I want a good mobo that will do the job on high end games.

GPU is the pricey one. I dont have a lot left after buying most of the set-up.
Not looking to spend over 150 for a GPU.

Is there any out there that will provide me with good performance with the latest games and future games around the 150 mark or under?

6870
best value for money at the moment. best bang for buck option.

i just brought one and average at around 60fps on space marine. 55 on starcraft. 50 on deus ex. all on the highest setting

i game at 1920x1080

so i would side with the 6870 over a 560 as the 6870 will beat a standard 560 plus its cheaper. but performs the same as a 560ti which is more expensive. (560 ti and 6870 both perform better than the other in certain game and tasks)

i dont plan on changing for 2-3 years.
unless the 6870 becomes really reduntant.
in my opinion you would get away with keeping one for 2 years maybe 3

it is hard to say though as you dont know what games are going to demand or what sudden new ground breaking tech may emerge.

but this is purley my opinion as im on a student budget so dont have the funds to just suddenly upgrade
