Hello all,

Am buying the following set up:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Asus P5Q-E
Antec P182
640GB WD Caviar Black
4GB Corsair DDR2 PC2-8500
Corsair TX 750W

and am going to be using the following parts from my current computer:

500GB Hitachi HDD for backup
1TB Spinpoint HDD for Media
Pioneer DVD/RW
22" Widescreen Samsung Monitor

I am not massively into games, but would like a pretty decent one as I might start to look into this. I also do a bit of video editing of camcorder footage etc.

I have noted that the Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 Vapor X would be a good choice, but would be interested to know 1. If you would indeed recommend this card, given my set up and 2. if so, whether I should go for the 512mb or 1gb version.

Many thanks

Whiffle

I have a 280 for my media/single player gaming PC where all the little bits of eye candy count and a 4850 in my multiplayer games PC with 20" monitor.

The 4850 is a cheap lil champ and as long as I am not totally anal with the settings runs mosts games at or near max.
